GenEd to present new “Resistance” teaching unit at CCSS conference

The session will introduce GenEd’s new 10-lesson flexible unit examining the many forms of resistance to genocide and human rights abuses, using the Armenian Genocide and its aftermath up until present-day as a case study.

If you plan to be at the California Council for the Social Studies’ annual conference this weekend, please attend GenEd’s session: “The Armenian Genocide: Resistance, Agency and Empowerment,” on Friday, March 8th, 10:10 am, in Salon IV.

“The Armenian Genocide: Resistance, Agency and Empowerment” ** lesson plan will be presented by GenEd Teacher Fellow Cindy Martinez, who developed the unit and participated in the 2023 GenEd Teacher Fellowship Program in Armenia.

The CCSS conference is March 8-10, Hyatt Regency, Garden Grove, CA.
