The Genocide Education Project is excited to share its new GenEd Teaching Trunks – Free for California teachers to borrow at no cost
Each trunk contains a variety of teaching materials to support instruction about Armenian history and culture, including lesson plans on the Armenian Genocide aligned with the CA History Social Science Framework and Standards. Suitable for Social Studies and English Language Arts courses, grades 6-12, the GenEd Teaching Trunks are filled with cultural items such as small carpets, kilims, khatchkars (Armenian cross-stone replicas), teaching guides, books and class sets of the memoir, “Goodbye, Antoura” that will help students connect to Armenian culture and identity. Thanks to a grant through the California Teachers Collaborative for Holocaust and Genocide Education.
