The session will introduce GenEd’s new 10-lesson flexible unit examining the many forms of resistance to genocide and human rights abuses, using the Armenian Genocide and its aftermath up until present-day as a case study.

“The Armenian Genocide: Resistance, Agency and Empowerment” ** lesson plan will be presented by GenEd Teacher Fellow Cindy Martinez, who developed the unit and participated in the 2023 GenEd Teacher Fellowship Program in Armenia.
