Plan Now for GenEd’s Full-Day Workshop, including a visit to the Library of Congress, at the NCSS 2025 Conference in Washington, DC, on Thursday, December 4th, 8:30 am-4:30 pm, entitled
“Exploring America’s Response to the Armenian Genocide using Primary Sources”
Discover Armenian culture and history while exploring America’s unprecedented humanitarian response to the Armenian Genocide, 1915-1923. Using ready-to-use lessons, you’ll learn how to incorporate the story of American civilians taking bold action to save genocide survivors. After lunch, the workshop will move to the Library of Congress (transport provided) for an expert-led tour of Armenian artifacts and a tutorial on accessing the library’s resources for classroom use.
